Meraki MR53E AP
Access Point for High-Density Wireless
The MR53E is a variation of the MR53 with six external antenna connectors. It is ideal for areas that need focused coverage and flexible deployments. The external antenna connectors provide maximum flexibility of the shape and size of the WiFi coverage area. Meraki has a line of eternal antennas, including panel and panel downtilt omni-directionals, wide patch, and narrow patch antennas, the MR53E is also compatible with any antennas with standard RP-TNC connectors.

The MR53E features four radios that run concurrently:
- 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n/ac client access radio
- 5 GHz 802.11a/n/ac Wave 2 client access radio
- 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz dual-band WIDS/WIPS, spectrum analysis, & location analytics radio
- 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio with Beacon and BLE scanning support
For efficient transmission of data from a large number of simultaneous users, the MR53E has a theoretical maximum aggregate frame rate of 3.5 Gbps. It offers MU-MIMO for transmission to multiple clients, which is useful if your location uses multiple mobile devices. Furthermore, the MR53E is integrated with a multigigabit 1G/2.5G Ethernet uplink.
The MR53E features Meraki’s AirMarshal Radio, a third radio dedicated to delivering 24x7 wireless security and RF analytics. This radio constantly monitors the local RF environment and adjusts RF usage to avoid interference. For guest access, the MR53E is equipped with one-click guest isolation so guests can only access the Internet. This access point also has an integrated Layer 7 firewall with mobile device policy management for further protection.
Lastly, when using a Meraki access point, you get one of the easiest to use and deploy access points on the market. The MR53E is capable of a zero-touch deployment, and all security updates, bug fixes, configurations, and more are handled through a cloud-based interface, the Meraki Dashboard.
