Meraki’s MR33 is an indoor access point, ideal for general coverage, medium-density environments. It is supplied with power via Power-over-Ethernet, or is 802.3af compatible. A separate AC adapter is available for purchase.

The MR33 has three radios plus a BLE radio. All four radios run concurrently:
- 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n client access radio
- 5 GHz 802.11a/n/ac client access radio
- 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz WIDS/WIPS, spectrum analysis, & location analytics radio
- 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio with beacon and BLE scanning support
For efficient transmission of data from a large number of simultaneous users, the MR33 has MU-MIMO support and a theoretical maximum aggregate frame rate of 1.3 Gbps. Furthermore, the MR33 is equipped with a 1G Ethernet port.
The MR33 features Meraki’s AirMarshal Radio, a third radio dedicated to delivering 24x7 wireless security and RF analytics. This radio constantly monitors the local RF environment and adjusts RF usage to avoid interference. For guest access, the MR33 is equipped with one-click guest isolation so guests can only access the Internet. This access point also has an integrated Layer 7 firewall with mobile device policy management for further protection.
Lastly, when using a Meraki access point, you get one of the easiest to use and deploy access points on the market. The MR33 is capable of a zero-touch deployment, and all security updates, bug fixes, configurations, and more are handled through a cloud-based interface, the Meraki Dashboard.
